What would cause a lap top to switch off all of a sudden if picked up or turned on its side??
first problem started with the power button not working right away when pressing it and the system shutting off all of a sudden.
then the keyboard began to not work correctly and then not at all.
now the laptop keyboard doesnt work except a few keys and the power button works after several tries and the computer switches off randomly , even shortly after starting it , sometimes if i pick it up off the table it switches off or if turne on its side, etc.
what could be the reason, reason for all of this to occur?

ALSO, AM RUNNING THE MCAFFE VIRUS SCAN AND IT IS SCANNING VERY SLOWLY.

keyboard issue sounds like a loose keyboard ribbon cable. if you’re comfortable cracking the unit open, power the unit off, unplug it, and remove the battery. consult the Repair Manual for how to remove the keyboard. for ibms/lenovos, it’s easy. it’s about 4 screws and they are marked on the bottom. if you are leary about this, send the unit in for warranty repair.
the power supply issue could be a loose or broken ac connector (could be loose at the port, or internal at the board connector). see if this happens when the unit is running on battery. if it does not, it’s your ac connector.
mcaffee issue could be that your computer needs a defrag. it could also be that you have too many other programs running at the same time. it could also be a sign of imminent hard drive failure. does the hard drive light seem to be on all the time lately? have you gotten any weird errors or blue screens?
